Show or Hide Recycle Bin in Desktop

If you’re using RocketDock or ObjectDock, you don’t want to show the Recycle Bin in your desktop for the reason that it will be awkward. But how can we do that if we cannot delete it from our desktop? When we right-click the Recycle Bin, there is no option to delete it. Even pressing the delete key from the keyboard will not allow us to delete it from our desktop. Here’s a simple tip.

Instructions

  1. Right-click anywhere in the desktop and select Personalize.show or hide recycle bin in desktop
  2. Appearance and Personalization will appear. At the left side menu, select Change desktop icons.Show or Hide Recycle Bin in Desktop
  3. A dialog box will appear. In Desktop Icons, unchecked Recycle Bin.Show or Hide Recycle Bin in Desktop
  4. Click OK button to save the settings. This time, you will not be able to see the Recycle Bin in your desktop.

If you’re running Windows 7 Starter, you will not be able to do this since by default Starter has no Personalize menu. But, celebrate for you can now download a Personalization Panel for your Windows 7 Starter. Please check my other tutorial on how you can add personalization panel in Windows 7 Starter here.
